Make small games
with us

We team up with small studios and solo developers on short, focused game projects built in Godot, and we’re always looking for more people to work with.

If you make good games in Godot and have some time coming up, we’d love to hear from you. Tell us a little about what you do and we’ll keep you in mind as projects come along.

Tell us about your team

How this works

No surprises. Here’s exactly how we work.

01

It’s work for hire

We bring the project and cover the cost of the work, and Playformant owns what gets made. If that doesn’t suit you, we completely understand, but for this kind of work we do need to own the IP.

02

Projects are small

Tightly scoped games rather than multi-year productions. The kind of thing a focused team, or even a studio of one, can take from an idea to a finished game without losing momentum. Every project is built in Godot, so Godot experience is required.

03

We come to you

Sending this over puts you on our roster. When something comes up that matches what you do, and you’ve got the time, we’ll get in touch.

What we love to see

  • Past work we can play. A game we can get our hands on tells us far more than a deck ever could. Prototypes and game jam entries absolutely count.
  • A team that runs itself. You know how you work best, and we’d much rather let you get on with it than check in every day.
  • An honest sense of your time. Just tell us what you realistically have free because it helps us find something that genuinely suits you.
  • Good communication across timezones. We work with people all over the world, and things go more smoothly when everyone has experience with cross-globe communication.
  • Bonus points if we’ve worked together before. At a previous studio, on a past project, anywhere at all, please do mention it. It’s never a requirement, but it’s always good to hear from people we’ve already shipped with.

Tell us about your team

Godot experience is required. Should only take about five minutes. The fields marked ∗ are the ones we really need.

The practical bits

One quick thing. Please don’t send us game ideas. We’d love to hear what you can build, but anything sent through this form is treated as non-confidential, and we may already be working on something similar. Best to leave confidential material and unreleased IP out of it.

We keep what you send so we can consider your team for future projects, and we don’t share it with anyone outside Playformant. You can ask us to remove your details at any time.

We read every single one. We’ll be in touch when a project comes along that suits you.
